Year 1 Semester 1 Project: Practice Project 3 - Transforming Ideas Through 3D

Project brief

Individually, students are to transform the 2-dimensional ideas from Practice Project 1 and

Practice Project 2; and create a 3-dimensional form through appropriate design

development. In the development process, students are required to show 3-4

development models to show the transformation of ideas.

The final 3-dimensional form should be designed within the size of 200mm x 200mm x 200mm

in 1:1 scale. The elements and principles of design must be applied in the final design.

The material used must be at least 2 combination of materials and should not more

than 3 materials, 1 material would be the primary material to support the whole structure

model and the other materials as a secondary or supporting materials use to make up the

whole form, joinery, details and aesthetics.
