Project brief
Student are required to conduct a precedent study that relate to the private container living. The case study is to explore different type of form and shape using container as a main structure to design a personal space (compact living). In this case study, student need to explore the form, interior space, space/ furniture arrangement, opening, access/approach and views, material and finishes treatment. The study of ergonomic and anthropometry are needed in order to achieve comfortable interior space planning.
Next, student is required to conduct the basic site inventory. This site inventory includes interior analysis such as opening, space arrangement, height, ventilation and views to the site and its surrounding. This site inventory also need to include architectural analysis such as location, sun orientation (north-south), senses (view, wind, smell, noisy), surrounding facilities & amenities, topography, neighbourhood context, human traffic that relates to security and privacy, vegetation. Advantages and disadvantages of site (SWOT analysis) should be included in the site inventory too.
